Our Club was formed in December 1989 as the Brisbane Live Steamers and Model Engineers.  We were situated on council land in Carina.  Unfortunately this site was flood prone and quite limited in options for expansion.  In December 2000 we moved to our present location and after a period of four months were ready once more for operation.

The society underwent a name change in April 2005 to better represent our new location.

We operate our trains for the enjoyment of the public, although sometimes it's hard to tell who is having more fun, the passengers or the driver!  The money raised from ticket sales goes back into the maintenance and expansion of our facilities.
